West Nile Virus Season is Not Over
FAIRFAX, Va. (September 19, 2013) – Peak season for West Nile virus has not ended yet. Although the days are getting cooler, there is still a risk of contracting an illness from infected mosquitoes.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report that West Nile virus has been detected in every state except Maine. People should use insect repellent when spending time outdoors and be aware of common West Nile symptoms.
