Weird and Wacky Pest News
FAIRFAX, Va. (February 8, 2013) – Most often, when pests make the headlines it has to do with an infestation or pest-related health topic such as West Nile virus. However, sometimes we read or hear about those weird, wacky and bizarre pest stories – and yesterday was no exception.
FOX News reported two raccoons climbed 150 feet up a tower crane being used to build an apartment complex in Seattle. The critters made a home inside the lift causing work to temporarily come to a halt.
Then, mealworms were found in a batch of soup at a Colorado-area high school. The health department assured there were no dangers to the students who ate the school lunch.
