Pest-Proof The Home This Spring
FAIRFAX, Va. (March 20, 2013) – Spring is finally here, which means many homeowners will embark on spring cleaning projects over the next few weeks. During this time, the National Pest Management Association also encourages homeowners to take stock of the conditions in and around homes and eliminate any possible entryways or items that attract pests.
Spring is the season when homeowners begin to notice an increase in pests, including ants, termites, and stinging insects, because the warmer temperatures encourage greater activity. Many of these pests can move indoors without leaving many visible warning signs of an infestation.
Simple tasks like screening windows, properly landscaping, eliminating moisture sites and keeping kitchens clean can go a long way in minimizing a potential pest problem this spring.
