Mice Found Inside BWI Airport
FAIRFAX, Va. (December 10, 2012) – With winter weather creeping in, rodents and other small pests will make their way inside homes and structures for protection from the cold. In fact, the Baltimore Sun reported that mice have already made themselves at home in the interior of the BWI airport.
Last Friday, passengers waiting for a Southwest flight in Concourse B watched as many mice foraged for dinner. Since summer, the side of the terminal facing the runways has been open during a $100 million construction project, which has created access points for the rodents to easily find a way inside.
According to the article, a pest control company has set hundreds of traps inside walls and vents, and also has traps outside the terminal near trash compactors and access points.
