Fall Could Mean an Increase in Wasps
FAIRFAX, Va. (September 22, 2013) – If you didn’t notice wasps in your area before, you may be noticing them now. Some regions are experiencing an increase in wasp sightings, but that may not be abnormal.
In the fall, wasp nests are at their maximum size, and the workers tend to be more aggressive at this time of year because they are searching for food to sustain the queen over the winter. A single wasp may sting multiple times to protect itself or its nest.
