Bed Bugs Reaching New Regions
FAIRFAX, Va. (March 21, 2014) – Bed bugs don’t discriminate based on geographic location, but as with most pests, there are some areas of the country that experience more infestations than others.
Residents of large cities are accustomed to hearing reports of bed bugs, but recently, residents of Alaska have seen an exponential increase in the number of bed bug cases. According to KTUU in Alaska, there was one reported case of bed bugs in 2007 and 2008 combined, and that number jumped to 84 in 2012.
