Bed Bugs Making Headlines Across the Country

FAIRFAX, Va. (November 18, 2012) – Bed bugs have been making headlines across the country in recent weeks. Today, NPMA spokesperson, Missy Henriksen, was featured in a Washington Examiner article on bed bugs infesting Metro’s headquarters.

Henriksen said that bed bugs in places such as offices could be harder to locate and treat. In a home, the nocturnal bugs will congregate near beds, but in offices they may disperse as they search for their next blood meal.

The NPMA encourages businesses to have a policy in place for employees who may suspect a bed bug infestation at home. Many times, employees unknowingly bring these bed bugs into the office.
