Ants All Around

FAIRFAX, Va. (June 6, 2014) – From New York to Texas, the warm weather and moisture from a harsh winter are bringing out the ants. Although tiny, they can quickly cause serious problems if they infest basements, kitchens and other living spaces.

Ants can be difficult to eradicate because once a home is marked as a source of food, other ants from a colony will follow the pheromone trail, so eliminating individual ants in a home will not always prevent more from appearing.

Moisture is a main attractant for ants. They can enter a home through small cracks and crevices in siding or even through damaged weather-stripping around windows and doors.
