Most often, when pests make the headlines it has to do with an
infestation or pest-related health topic such as West Nile virus.
However, sometimes we read or hear about those weird, wacky and
bizarre pest stories – and yesterday was no exception.
FOX News reported two raccoons climbed
150 feet up a tower crane being used to build an apartment complex
in Seattle. The critters made a home inside the lift causing work
to temporarily come to a halt.
Then, mealworms
were found in a batch of soup at a Colorado-area high school. The
health department assured there were no dangers to the students who
ate the school lunch.
