Bed Bugs Making Headlines Across the Country

Sunday, November 18, 2012

Bed bugs have been making headlines across the country in recent weeks. Today, NPMA spokesperson, Missy Henriksen, was featured in a Washington Examiner article on bed bugs infesting Metro’s headquarters.

Henriksen said that bed bugs in places such as offices could be harder to locate and treat. In a home, the nocturnal bugs will congregate near beds, but in offices they may disperse as they search for their next blood meal.

The NPMA encourages businesses to have a policy in place for employees who may suspect a bed bug infestation at home. Many times, employees unknowingly bring these bed bugs into the office.
