I live in the third world and here we don't have means to battle with bed bugs (exterminators, sniffing dogs, and so on). I was exposed to them at a hotel and there's nothing I can do against them! It turns to a "do-it-yourself" situation, and it's not my fault!

I need to be able to control them myself. I am on a fixed income and can't afford to pay the exorbidant prices charged my pest control companies. Is there something I can do on my own? Please help. They are driving me crazy.

These are great facts! Bed bugs are a horrible nuisance if not caught and treated early.

Hi Miz, Bed bugs are not known to transmit any diseases to humans. However, their bites can cause itchy, red welts and a bed bug infestation can lead to sleeplessness, anxiety and social isolation. As Dr. Jorge mentioned in the above article, some pathogens have been detected in and on bedbugs, but bed bugs have not been associated with disease transmission.
