ALBUQUERQUE - A troubled Albuquerque motel faced with complaints over mice, roaches and plumbing issues has been ordered to close five to six of its rooms.

KOAT-TV reported that city officials ordered Friday that Pioneer Motel close the rooms due to bedbugs.

City officials say the owner is being cooperative, and the rest of the motel would remain open while the problems are fixed.

The motel is located in an area of the city were business owners have long complained about prostitution and drug dealing.
